If you’ve thought about a career in life insurance, this might be a good time to act.

Dan Rioux, managing partner of the Tacoma office of New York Life, has written to explain that he’s in need of 25 new agents to supplement the 50 agents already in the area.

“There’s an unmet demand in Tacoma and the South Sound,” he said Monday. “We’re not anywhere close to the numbers we need to grow.”

He’s looking for prospective agents with a background in sales or sales management. He notes that the company hired 3,597 agents in 2012, nationwide, and he said New York Life “continues its commitment to hiring and supporting women and individuals serving the African-American, Chinese, Hispanic, Korean, South Asian and Vietnamese markets.”

For more information, contact Rioux at 253-597-7199 or at drrioux@ft.newyorklife.com.
