The new flight will operate between June 9 and August 23.  It will depart Sea-Tac at 3:50 p.m. and arrive in Boston a minute before midnight.

Alaska also operates a flight that leaves Sea-Tac at 9:05 a.m. and another at 10:30 p.m. destined for Boston.  Rival JetBlue Airways is also beefing up its Seattle-Boston schedule for the summer with three daily flights at 7:30 a.m., 11:40 a.m. and 11:40 p.m.

Alaska has beefed up its schedule to Boston from the West Coast in recent months adding a nonstop from Portland and from San Diego.
