Port names new container terminal development director

The Port of Tacoma has named a veteran container shipping line executive to lead its container terminal business development.

TomBellerud-webTom Bellerud replaces Brendan Dugan, who left the port last year.

Bellerud has than 20 years of experience in the maritime and transportation industry. Before joining the port, Bellerud served as regional sales manager for Horizon Lines. He also has held management positions with CSX Lines, Sea-Land Service, CSX Intermodal and CMX Trucking.

Bellerud will be responsible for the  growth of the port’s international and domestic container business,
