A Gig Harbor-based developer, Rush Properties, announced this week it plans to open the first of two 7-story apartment towers near the Tacoma Mall early next year.

“The Pacifica”

The first phase of the twin-building complex will contain 177 apartment homes at 4275 Pine Street. The second phase of the project is set to open in April. Both buildings are located adjacent to the west entrance to the Tacoma Mall parking lot.

Many of the apartments will have views of either the Cascade or Olympic mountains from their balconies. The apartments are within a brief walk of the mall and close to Pierce Transit’s mall transit center.

Called “The Pacifica,” the rental residences will offer the services of a concierge to provide individualized services for residents, such as securing airport transportation and dinner reservations, the apartment’s management said.
