On Monday, people interested in the next phase of the major construction on downtown Tacoma’s Stadium Way can learn more at an open house.

City staff and the contractor will be available from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers, 747 Market St., to answer questions and discuss detours and plans for bad weather. They also will lay out specifics on the construction, including retaining wall work that is scheduled to begin in December.

The $10.2 million project began this summer with work on either end of the well-known Tacoma road. The main portion of the road has been closed for weeks and will remain so until August 2013, when the project is scheduled to be complete.

To learn more about the project, go to www.cityoftacoma.org/stadiumway.
