Citi calls it the “Road to Recovery,” a program aimed at customers whose mortgages are in distress.

That road leads to Tacoma on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

CitiMortgage customers facing foreclosure or having difficulty making mortgage payments – will be welcomed to the event beginning at noon and running through 7 p.m. at Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma.

The event, according to a Citi spokesman, will give homeowners a chance to “participate in free one-on-one consultations with Citi mortgage assistance experts.”

During a similar tour last year, the spokesman said, “two-thirds of participants discovered that they qualified for a mortgage modification or another type of solution.”

Along with questions, participants are asked to bring documents that support their hardship; recent pay stubs; recent checking, savings and investment statements; proof of insurance and tax payments; a current property tax statement; your mortgage loan number; a 2011 tax return; and other related documentation.
