Ninety business and community leaders, over two days last week, recruited 102 new members to the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber.

“This increase in membership to 1,376 puts us as the second largest Chamber in the Puget Sound region,” Chamber president and CEO Tom Pierson said in a news release. ” We have put the relevance back into the Chamber, and businesses are seeing not only the return on investment but the innovation, the job creation and results from our advocacy efforts.”

The membership event took place Oct. 23 and 24th at Cheney Stadium. The event was organized by Jimmy Cusano and his group, Your Chamber Connection. Its specialty is high energy membership campaigns, according to the release.
