For persons having difficulties with preserving home ownership, the Urban League and GMAC Mortgage will host an information and counseling session this Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tacoma Urban League, 2550 S. Yakima Ave.

Homeowners will be able to speak with GMAC or Housing and Urban Development counselors concerning home ownership preservation, foreclosure prevention, mortgage counseling and loan modifications.

Assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Those people seeking assistance should bring photo identification, their Social Security card, W2 and tax returns for the past two years, pay stubs for the past two months, recent bank statements, mortgage documents, and, if applicable, layoff notices and medical letters from a physician.

The event is free. For more information, call the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle at 800-368-1455.
