One to One Physical Therapy is showing off its new quarters this Friday at 1807 N. Stevens.
The open house is scheduled for 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., said Deb Kristovich, One to One Physical Therapy’s owner. The clinic previously was located in Old Town.
The new location is a remodeled building with larger gym and treatment areas and ample parking.
The Kristovich and her team will continue to serving physical therapy patients and expand services to people interested in working out in a “medically oriented gym” where they will have the guidance and supervision of educated health care professionals.
“There really are many people who want to join a gym,” said Kristovich, “but are fearful to start because it’s not safe or appropriate due to health, safety or confidence issues. We are really working hard to fill the void for this group, by assuring progress with carefully outlined and monitored programs.”
Available programs range from fully independent exercise with light supervision to individualized sessions. Options include fall prevention, balance, sport specific performance training, hip and knee injury prevention, nutritional guidance and general health mentoring.
Kristovich has been a physical therapist in Tacoma for more than 20 years. She earned an athletic training certification from the University of Puget Sounds’ Sports Medicine Program. Her team includes Alika Antone and Erik Waterland, who both earned doctorates in physical therapy at UPS.
