Lufthansa Sea-Tac flights still operating despite strike

Lufthansa flights linking Sea-Tac Airport and Frankfurt were still scheduled to operate today and Wednesday despite a cabin attendants’ strike that has forced cancellation of 300 of the German airline’s flights today.

The sporadic strike last week forced cancellation of Sea-Tac Lufthansa flights among hundreds the airline erased from its schedule.

The airline and its flight attendants have been unable to reach an agreement over wages and work rules. The airline has offered a 3.5 percent raise. The attendants’ union is asking for a 5 percent increase.

The union also wants guarantees limiting the use of temporary workers to fill flight attendant jobs.
