A Tacoma-based structural engineering firm, PCS Structural Solutions, has been named the second best structural engineering firm to work for by the publisher of two major engineering publications.

The award by ZweigWhite, publisher of CE News and Structural Engineer, was based on a comprehensive review of structural engineering firms’ culture, workplace practices, employee benefits, employee retention rates and professional development.

PCS is a 40-year-old company that has a hand in the design of many major Pacific Northwest buildings including the Tacoma Dome, the Washington History Museum, St. Anthony Hospital and the Tacoma Art Museum among others. Its new headquarters is in what once was the Park Plaza South garage on Pacific Avenue in downtown Tacoma.
