Enumclaw’s new $75 million St. Elizabeth Hospital will have a new chief executive next week.
Donna Russell-Cook, who has served as chief executive officer at the Oklahoma Heart Institute Hospital in Tulsa since 2009, will become president of the Enumclaw hospital Monday.
She will succeed Dennis Popp, the long-time president of the hospital and its predecessor, the Enumclaw Regional Hospital, will postpone his previously announced retirement to serve as vice president of support services for Tacoma’s Franciscan Health System.
Franciscan is the parent company of St. Elizabeth, St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood and St. Frances Hospital in Federal Way.
St. Elizabeth replaced the 61-year-old Enumclaw Regional Hospital in February of last year.
Before taking her job in Oklahoma, Russell-Cook was administrator of the Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. Before that, she was senior director of cardiovascular and interventional radiology service for the Montana region of St. Vincent Healthcare in Billing, Montana.
