Dallas tornadoes still affecting Sea-Tac flights

American Airlines canceled one of its seven daily Sea-Tac Dallas flights today as it tried to recover from a rash of storms that struck the Dallas-Fort Worth area Tuesday.

Those storms, which spawned tornadoes, destroyed dozens of homes in the Texas metropolis.

American’s largest hub airport, Dallas-Fort Worth International, was hit by a hail storm that pelted planes on the ground there with hail.

American still had dozens of planes to inspect and repair today, causing it to abbreviate its flight schedule. The airline canceled a 3:50 p.m. flight from Sea-Tac to DFW among hundreds of flights it canceled nationwide.

The airline had cancelled two flights from Sea-Tac Wednesday.

American said it may take several more days before it gets its flights running on a full schedule.
