Tacoma gas prices were still rising Friday with average prices more than three cents higher than they were a week ago.

The News Tribune’s Gas Price Tracker reports those prices on average were $4.129 a gallon at Tacoma-area stations. That compares with $4.097 a week ago.

A month ago, local gas prices were hovering just below $4 a gallon at $3.996. A year ago, gas prices were nearly 34 cents a gallon less than Friday’s Tacoma average price.

The lowest price in the Tacoma area was reported at an Arco station at Portland Avenue and 104th Street E. That station was selling gas for $3.94 a gallon.
