On Friday, World Trade Center Tacoma will initiate a monthly speakers’ series focused on topics related to international trade.

Friday’s gathering will feature Bill Bryant, president of the Seattle Port Commission and founder of Bryant Christie, one of the state’s largest trade consultancies.

Subsequent speakers, appearing monthly on fourth Fridays, will include:
• In March, Edward Burton, president of the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council, who will discuss Middle East trade and a planned December trade mission to Saudi Arabia organized for Washington businesses.
• In April, University of Puget Sound professor Michael Veseth will discuss international wine trade and his recent book, “Wine Wars: The Curse of the Blue Nun and the Miracle of Two Buck Chuck.”

Friday’s meeting will be held at the office of Gordon Thomas Honeywell on the 21st floor at 1201 Pacific Ave. A light breakfast will be served. Cost for trade center members will be $10, and $15 for nonmembers. The gathering begins at 7:45 a.m. and will conclude by 9 a.m., according to a trade center release.
