A new rewards program will give travelers at Sea-Tac Airport opportunities to earn airline frequent flier miles for purchases at airport merchants and for parking in the airport garage.
The new program will award travelers one frequent flier mile for every dollar spent at the airport.
“A loyalty program like this is something our customers can take advantage of for things they already purchase,” said Mark Reis, Sea-Tac’s managing director. Under the new program, travelers can have their airport miles credited to their frequent flier accounts with Alaska, Continental, Delta and United airlines and US Airways.
To enter the program, travelers need to enroll any debit or credit card in the miles award plan.
Travelers who spend $250 or more in a 90-day period for qualifying purchases, will get a 500-mile bonus. If the card registered is an airline card, the same purchase will mean the award of double miles.
Sign-up is through the airport’s Website or at the airport this week at terminal locations inside security. Sign-up is also available through the Merchant Miles program at seatacshops.com or at parksmartseatac.com.
Those who sign up this month are eligible to win an IPad2 or an Amazon Kindle Fire tablet computer.
