MultiCare Health System’s network of primary and specialty care clinics is reopening today at 1 p.m.

The clinics have been closed since a snowstorm swept through the Puget Sound area Wednesday.

MultiCare spokeswoman Marce Edwards said the healthcare provider has been calling patients with scheduled appointments to reschedule them.

The healthcare company’s hospitals, Tacoma General, Allenmore, Mary Bridge and Good Samaritan, have remained open throughout the storm as have its emergency departments and urgent care centers.

Edwards said some staffers and visitors slept overnight at hospital facilities because they were unable to make it home through last night’s ice storm.
