The Internal Revenue Service will open its Tacoma assistance center this Saturday to answer questions on matters including collections and examinations and to help taxpayers prepare their returns.
For those of you keeping score, Tax Day is less than a month away.
The “Saturday Open House” runs from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the downtown Tacoma IRS office, 1201 Pacific Ave.
“Our goal is to help taxpayers get what they need from the IRS,” said agency spokesman David Tucker, in a release this week. “We know some people are facing challenging economic times and we want to provide extra assistance on these Saturdays.”
