Ticketmaster is out at the Puyallup Fair.

And Chicago is coming in September.

The Puyallup Fair & Events Center announced today that tickets to upcoming events will now be sold through an in-house service using ShoWare Complete ticketing software.

Patrons can now “choose your own seats and print tickets at home for Puyallup Fair concerts and the rodeo while experiencing lower fees and improved customer service,” said a Fair release.

Tickets will be available at www.thefair.com/concerts or by calling 888-559-FAIR (3247) daily from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (Calls early today to the number found an answer in Fresno, Calif. A Fair spokeswoman assures readers that the system will be updated.)

Guests can also visit the Puyallup Fair & Events Center Box Office at the corner of 9th Avenue SW and Meridian Street in Puyallup. For concerts, tickets will be available on the day an artist’s appearance is announced.

Which would be today for the first in a series of concerts at the September gathering. It’s Chicago, due to play Sept. 13 with the Tacoma Symphony.
