Goodbye AM-PM mini-mart, hello Heritage Bank.

Matching its move into central Tacoma with the purchase of Pierce Commercial Bank, Olympia-based Heritage Bank is coming to Gig Harbor.

The new branch will be the bank’s 26th location, and is slated to open in February at the site of a former commercial business at 5119 Olympic Dr. N.W.

“The addition of the Gig Harbor branch fits well with our overall growth strategy and complements the recent addition of the Allenmore branch (formerly Pierce Commercial Bank) in Tacoma. The Gig Harbor market is a well-established, growing community we have had in our expansion plans for some time,” stated Mr. Jeff Deuel, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

The new branch will offer a full menu of services and products, both in business and personal banking, according to a release today.

The expansion has been approved by regulators.

Heritage stock is up 16 cents in morning trading to $14.10, and is up 9.98 percent over the past year.
