Alaska Airlines once again has topped the list of major North American Airlines for on-time arrivals.

The SeaTac-headquartered airline’s flights were 88.07 percent on time during August according to new figures from Flightstats.com, a web site that tracks airline flights and performance.

That puts the airline again in first place among major carriers, a spot that it’s held for most of the last year. In second place in August was Continental Airlines with an on-time percentage of 84.72. Third was US Airways with an 83.7 percent performance.

Among all North American airlines large and small, Hawaiian Airlines held the first position on Flightstats August list with 95.53 percent of its flights arriving on time.
