It’s just about time to get your order in for the state Department of Labor & Industries 2001 workplace calendar.
The calendar, “Keep Washington Safe and Working,” will be available later this month, according to an agency release earlier today.
The calendar features “real workers in real jobs across” across the state, from the tulip fields in Skagit Valley to a vineyard in Pasco.
“We want employers to see real-world examples of Washington businesses handling typical workplace hazards effectively and in a way that any company can replicate,” said Bruce Zeller, education and outreach services manager for L&I’s Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
Safety and health issues addressed in the calendar include workplace violence, fall protection, flagging, bloodborne pathogens, respirator use and outdoor heat exposure, the release said.
The calendars are free to Washington state businesses and will be available to order beginning Sept. 13.
To receive a copy, e-mail your name, company name, mailing address and telephone number to SHVideo@lni.wa.gov . To order by phone, call 800-574-9881. on or after a week from Monday. Also, limited quantities will be available in local L&I offices after Sept. 30.
