Small business owners take note: There’s a survey out today that might help you with your marketing efforts.

The Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber is inviting local businesses to participate in an online-only survey to measure individual success in using marketing tools.

According to a release today, the survey is under the direction of the chamber in conjunction with City of Tacoma.

“The survey will also focus on the business climate to determine how supportive the local environment is for business success,” the chamber said.

“Businesses will get their own individual rating for a Small Business Success Index and through their participation will determine the Small Business Success Index for Tacoma and Pierce County.”

Gary Brackett, the chamber’s business and trade development manager, said earlier this week that all businesses in the county are welcome to participate, whether or not they happen to be members of the group.

The survey is anonymous, he said, and individual responses will be kept confidential. The survey will be open through Aug. 14, and the results should be ready in September.

Those results of the program will be used to improve support services for small businesses.

The survey went live this morning. To participate, click here or visit

What a crap survey, it is more an advertisement for a business consulting firm.

    Ignore it!
