My colleague Joyce Chen reported this last night over on the Word on the Street blog:
The Apple Store at Tacoma Mall will hold its grand opening Saturday 10 a.m.
The first 1,000 visitors will get free Apple T-shirts.
The electronics store will be one of three new tenants in the space once occupied by Nordstrom, which moved to a new building in the mall in 2008.
Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple’s stores sell Macintosh computers, software, gadgets including the iPad, and accessories. A popular feature is a Genius Bar, where Apple employees offer technical support and repairs for owners of Apple devices.
