Two Washington cities are on the opposite ends of a list just compiled by MSN of the best and worst U.S. cities for jobs.
Spokane was on the best list for new jobs with a one percent growth in jobs from July through October. Jobs in the Eastern Washington metropolis grew from 210,100 to 212,200, MSN said.
On the other end of the list, Bellingham suffered a 2.3 percent decline in jobs over the same period. Job numbers there fell from 82,200 in July to 80,300 in October.
Best in the nation was Merced, Calif., where job growth was 2.7 percent. The worst was Grand Junction in Western Colorado with a 5.2 percent decline in jobs in that same period.
