Tacoma will showcase its technology talent Nov. 20 at the annual South Sound Technology Conference hosted by the University of Washington Tacoma and the Institute of Technology.
The one-day conference includes a panel on entrepreneurship featuring founders of local tech companies, break out sessions on specific topics and two keynote addresses — one by Bruce Kendall, CEO of the Economic Development Board for Tacoma Pierce County and another by Richard Purcell, CEO of the Corporate Privacy Group.
The event includes networking opportunities and provides “a venue to discuss explore, understand and deploy technology as a solution, an opportunity and an advantage,” according to the conference’s Web site.
Attendees can register online or the same day of the conference beginning at 8:30 a.m. Registration is free. The event will be held in the Bill Philip Hall on the UWT campus.
