Then you’ll love the fact that the annual Model Train Festival, back for the 17th time at the Washington State History Museum these holidays, is staying for a whopping 11 days, due to popular demand. The largest working model train layout in the state opens this Friday and will remain until New Year’s Day, with visits by Santa, hands-on attractions and more.
“Model trains and the holiday season seem to go hand-in-hand, and this annual festival continues to be one of our major attractions year after year,” said Jennifer Kilmer, director of the Washington State Historical Society. …
