Art and baseball come together for City of Tacoma at Cheney Stadium’s Arts Appreciation Night

Think art and baseball don’t mix? You obviously haven’t checked out the new public art at the renovated Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. Recent pieces installed as part of the one-per-cent-for-art budget program include LED-lit salmon sculptures, light installations and a baseball-themed mosaic; to show it all off (and dedicate the new art) the City of Tacoma Arts Commission is hosting an Arts Appreciation Night next Monday at the Stadium, including dance, hands-on art and a game between the Rainiers and the Tucson Padres.
