Tacoma artists part of “RISE” Edge program exhibit in Seattle
Around 25 artists – including some from Tacoma – are showing work at the Seattle Design Center as part of “RISE,” a showcase of contemporary art from Edge program graduates.
The Edge program is a professional artist support program run by Seattle non-profit Artist Trust, and offers artists training, skills, networking and career building techniques, including several exhibitions.
On show in this “RISE” are Tacoma artists Victoria Bjorklund, who manipulates photographic images for a layered, multi-meaning effect, Dayton Knipher, who merges photographs to abstraction, and Gig Harbor bronze sculptor Mardie Rees. Other work
