Josie Emmons Turner, Tacoma’s Poet Laureate, will give a free poetry workshop exploring “Place and Persona” this Saturday at Fort Nisqually. Writers will look at how to combine the imaginary with the real world in persona poems. Bring lunch, paper, pen and something to write on. 9 a.m.-1 p.m. July 16. Free.
