“Harry Potter” extended at Pacific Science Center; Seattle Art Museum to close for two weeks

Two major museum changes this month in Seattle:

At the Pacific Science Center, the huge popularity of “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” has encouraged museum officials to extend the show another two weeks. The 10,000 square-foot touring exhibit of hundreds of props, sets and costumes from the first seven Harry Potter films has been selling out daily, and will now run through Feb.13. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
