Shakespeare-a-thon at the Speakeasy
Alternative Shakespeare company Shakespeare in the Parking Lot will stage five of the bard’s history plays over 48 hours in downtown Tacoma. Be prepared for contemporary settings and lots of audience action. 6 p.m. tonight: “Richard II”; 8:30 p.m. tonight: “Henry IV” parts 1 and 2; 11:30 p.m. tonight: “Henry V”; 3 p.m. April 24: “Henry VI” parts 1, 2 and 3; 10 p.m. April 24: “Richard III.” $10 suggested donation/free for under-18/$32 for three Friday shows and Elizabethan meal. Both Saturday shows are free.
