Two of Tacoma’s biggest museums are joining forces to offer visitors one combined $20 ticket starting next week. The Museum of Glass and America’s Car Museum (the LeMay) are collaborating on the deal, which runs from January 16 to March 31.

“As a community-focused organization, we’ve made it a priority to establish relationships with Tacoma’s local businesses and attractions,” said ACM president David Madeira in the press release.  “Our partnership with MOG is the next evolution of this commitment, which affords people the opportunity to experience the beautiful artwork, designs and exhibits that both museums have to offer.”

Since ACM opened its new downtown location last year the two institutions have also collaborated on an exhibit, with MoG artists creating nine hand-blown glass hood ornaments to commemorate the opening. Both museums see the combined Chrome and Glass Pass as a way to open up to new audiences.

Chrome and Glass Passes will be sold Jan. 16 – March 31 onsite at ACM (2702 E. D St., Tacoma) and MoG (1801 Dock St., Tacoma); tickets must be redeemed by March 31.  Hours: ACM 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily; MoG 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. third Thursdays.
