The Illumni Men’s Chorale present “An American Christmas,” with both traditional and brand-new carols premiering live on YouTube during the concert. TSO Chorus sings a different “Messiah”

For its annual performance of Handel’s beloved oratorio “Messiah,” the Tacoma Symphony Orchestra Chorus is taking a radical approach to well-known choruses like “All We Like Sheep” and the “Hallelujah,” singing from around the audience and injecting some theater movement into the music. 7:30 p.m. tonight. $25. Magical Strings’ Celtic Yuletide

Join the Northwest’s most famous musical family concert: Magical Strings. In its 34th year of Celtic Yuletide Concerts, three generations of Boulding family members play harps, dulcimers, violin, cello, whistles, percussion and more to tell Celtic songs and stories of Yuletide. Northwest Repertory Singers strike, ring and sound in the holidays

The Northwest Repertory Singers “Strike the Harp, Ring the Bells, Sound the Oboe” this weekend in their annual holiday concert, featuring guest artists on handbells, harp and oboe and including traditional carols and songs. 7:30 p.m. Dec. 15, 3 p.m. Dec. 16.
