
The Gig Harbor Poetry Series continues tonight with leading Northwest poet David Wagoner, who will read at the Gig Harbor Library from his most recent collection of poetry, “After the Point of No Return.”
Wagoner has published over 20 books of poetry, and has been acclaimed for his skilful, insightful work. He has won many literary awards including the Ruth Lilly Poetry Prize, two Pushcard Prizes and the Academy of Arts and Letters Award, and has twice been nominated for the National Book Award. Professor emeritus at the University of Washington, he has also written ten novels, and been given the Sherwood Anderson Foundation Award.
