Gig Harbor’s annual Summer Art Festival will bring more than 130 artists and craftspeople to the city’s historic waterfront district July 21 and 22.

The free festival will feature painters, glass artists, metal workers, wood turners, potters, jewelry designers, photographers, fiber artists and more. There will also be food vendors, musical entertainment and arts activities for children.

Members of Peninsula Art League’s plein air painting group will be creating on-the-spot paintings. Musical contributors include “Spare Thyme” – a fiddle duet and guitarist Jess Ross, among others.

Free shuttle service will be provided from the Medical Center on Kimball Drive to the festival site, continuing along the waterfront to the north end of Gig Harbor Bay.
