The extensive art collection of the late Tacoma resident and artist Betty Mears will be auctioned Saturday at Franke Tobey Jones retirement home by Pacific Gallery Artists, of which Mears was a member. Mears, an artist collected locally and nationally and winner of the 2001 Pierce County Margaret K. Williams Award, passed away last year at age 92.

Mears’ collection includes around 200 pieces of her own multimedia art and painting, plus a small collection of work by other artists both framed and unframed.

1-4 p.m. April 21. Free. Franke Tobey Jones Wellness Center, 5340 N. Bristol St., Tacoma. 523-752-6621, www.franketobeyjones.com
