Peter Fletcher, an award-winning national classical guitarist called “taut and incisive” by the American Record Guide, will play a free concert this Sunday at the Tacoma library main branch. The program features selections from Fletcher’s 2008 CD of baroque music, as well as work by Ravel, Tarrega, Grieg and more. 2 p.m. Nov. 6. Free. “Java Tacoma” continues café theater

“Java Tacoma,” the locally-written soap opera comedy, continues this month at Trinity Presbyterian Hall. Written by Curtis B. Swanson, with original score by Allan Loucks, follows three life-long friends who meet daily in a Tacoma coffee house. Not for young children. 7:30 p.m. Nov. 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19. $15, includes coffee, tea and baked goods. Eastern Pierce County Open Studio Tour

Visit the studios of 28 professional artists in eastern Pierce County this weekend with their annual open studio tour, covering media such as watercolor, oil, acrylic, pencil, wood-burning, sculpture, glass and more. Work will be on sale, and visitors who go to six studios can enter a draw for artwork at the Sunday reception. 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 4-6. Tacoma Philharmonic kids’ concert “Goldyhands”

Dynamic musical teaching duo Lisa and Linda return to Theatre on the Square for a Tacoma Philharmonic kids concert. “Goldhands and the Three Bows” turns the fairy tale into a classical music adventure, with a string trio from the Tacoma Youth Symphony playing Vivaldi. 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5. $8.50.
