Eatonville Arts Fest

This weekend the Eatonville Lions Club sponsors the 40th annual Eatonville Arts Festival in downtown Glacier Park, featuring a fine art auction, over 100 Northwest artists, live music such as the Perry Acker band tonight, food, kids’ crafts and a beer garden. 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Aug. 5-6, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 7. Free Bizet by the TCC Summer Festival Orchestra

Tacoma Community College presents the fourth annual Summer Festival Orchestra, a free concert by community musicians playing outside.  This year the program includes Bizet’s “Carmen” suites 1 and 2. 11 a.m. Aug. 6. Auburn goes Artrageous

Auburn’s ArtRageous Art Festival happens this Saturday, featuring hands-on art from chalking, plein air painting and spray paint collage through encaustic and marquetry. Theater Simple offers an interactive production of “Wonderland: Alice Adventures” at 11 a.m., Janet Raynor does stilt dancing at 11:30 a.m. and Sambatuque plays at 2:30 p.m. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Aug. 6. Vashon art at Traver

This weekend’s opening at Traver Gallery is of work by Vashon fresco painter and steel sculpture Mark Bennion. His minimalist work draws on the “Kalevala,” a Finnish collection of songs and poetry. There’s also a group exhibition from the Pilchuck Glass School. 1-4 p.m. Aug. 7, then 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday, noon-5 p.m. Sunday through Sept. 11. Free. Traver Gallery, 1821 E.
