This month’s show at the tiny Telephone Room Gallery, inside a house in the North End of Tacoma, features local artists revisiting retro craft projects from the 1960s-1980s. The exhibition of new takes on old crafts opens this Saturday.
Some of the crafts reinterpreted are fish printing, bottle gardens, Ojos de Dios and rock creatures, given a new spin by artists Jennifer Adams, Jessica Bender, Peter Lynch, Matt Johnson, Ann Darling, Lauren Faulkner, Chris Sharp, Colleen Maloney, Elise Richman, Saya Moriyasu, Tobin Eckholt, Maria Jost, Meghan Mitchell, Lisa Kinoshita, Jennifer Peters and Terry Dew.
