Tacoma’s Broadway Center 2011/12 season tickets on sale Thursday for members/multi-show

The Broadway Center for Performing Arts has announced the 2011/12 season for Tacoma’s downtown theaters, and tickets go on sale for members and multi-show packages 11 a.m. this Thursday. General public tickets go on sale July 15.

The new season offers over 30 events from rock, folk and Latin to comedy, theater, dance, film and family programs. Highlights include The Monkees (July) and iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove (August), Latin acts Deseo Carmin (February) and the Tito Puente Jr. Orchestra (March), comedians Margaret Cho (October) and Joan Rivers (November), comedy theater such as the Reduced Shakespeare Company (March) and the Seattle Comedy Competition (November) plus comedic drag dance troupe Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo (February) and an Audrey Hepburn film series. The locally-produced series of staged August Wilson readings continues.
