Vashon Opera does “Madam Butterfly”

Vashon Opera presents Puccini’s famous “Madam Butterfly,” a tale of love between East and West. Get into “Something Good” at Centerstage

“I’m into Something Good,” opening tonight at Centerstage Theatre, is a musical mélange of 1960s British hits by Centerstage’s director Alan Bryce and composer David Duvall: a trip down memory lane with everything from the Beatles to the Monkees. 8 p.m. Fridays/Saturdays, 2 p.m. Sundays May 13-June 5. $25/$20/$17. A new gallery for Tacoma’s ArtWalk

This month’s Third Thursday ArtWalk includes a brand new gallery: Flow, in the 301 Puyallup Avenue space just vacated by Mineral, and featuring work from watercolor to mixed-media. Museums are free, which is a great chance to see Norman Rockwell, up for two more weeks at Tacoma Art Museum. 5-8 p.m. May 19. Free. Zeitbike, inside and outside TAM

This year’s City of Tacoma Zeit Bike competition was won by metal artist Jennifer Weddermann-Hay, whose three bike racks will be on show at Tacoma Art Museum May 18-22, then installed permanently along the new Prairie Line Trail running from the Brewery District to the Thea Foss Waterway. As part of Bike to Work Month, Zeitbike will host outdoor games in Tollefson Plaza next Thursday – juggle, hula-hoop or jump rope. 5-8 p.m. May 19. Free.
