This month’s Distinguished Writer Series from the Puget Sound Poetry Connection features poet Judith Skillman, author of 12 collections of poetry and recipient of awards from the Academy of American Poets, Washington State Arts Commission, and other organizations.

7 p.m. May 13. Free. King’s Bookstore, 218 St. Helens Ave., Tacoma.
