Stadium alumni and pianist Kevin Peterson performs in Tacoma with St. Olaf College tour

Stadium High School alumni Kevin Peterson (’07) will perform in a series of free piano recitals in the Seattle/Tacoma area this weekend as part of a tour by students of St. Olaf College, Minn. The 11 students include physics, mathematics, and music majors from across the country and Canada, and will play music of Prokofiev, Glazunov, Shostakovich and six other Russian composers.

Peterson is a music major at St. Olaf’s, which is one of the nation’s leading liberal arts institutions and known also for its choir and orchestra, as well as programs in mathematics and sciences.

Tacoma concerts: 7:30 p.m. Mar. 22 at First Lutheran Church, 524 S. I St., Tacoma; 12:30 p.m. Mar. 23 at Lagerquist Hall, Pacific Lutheran University, 12180 Park Ave. S., Tacoma

Seattle concerts: 7 p.m. Mar. 19 at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Lynden; Mar. 20 at Trinity Lutheran Church,  Lynnwood, 7:30 p.m. Mar. 21 at Plymouth Church, Seattle

All concerts are free.
