If you’re the super-organized type who likes celebrating Valentine’s a few days early, or even if you just like excellent chamber music, you’ll love this one. The Eroica Trio is returning to Tacoma courtesy of the Tacoma Philharmonic, and playing an evening of romantic string trio music at the Pantages Friday night.

The all-female trio, hailed as one of the most sought-after in the world, has made its name not only on stylish good looks (leopard print, stiletto boots and long blonde hair, anyone?) but phenomenally good playing. Susie Parks on violin, Erika Nickrenz on piano and Sara Sant’Ambrogio are women who’ve been winning awards individually since they were children, and as a trio they’ve toured the world, won the 1991 Naumberg Award and received multiple Grammy nominations.

For the Tacoma show the Eroica (named after Beethoven’s famous symphony of the same name – and no, there isn’t a “t” in there) will be playing a program aimed to stir romantic souls. From the Gershwin’s bluesy “Porgy and Bess” fantasy to the lush sounds of Villa-Lobos’ Aria from “Bachianas Brasileiras” no. 5, from Schumann’s Trio in F major op. 80 to Mark O’Connor’s fiddlin’ tribute to Johnny Cash, “Poets and Prophets,” the line-up is pure Eroica style.

The Eroica Trio will play 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Pantages Theater, 901 Broadway, Tacoma. $19-$52. 253-591-5894, www.tacomaphilharmonic.org
