Puyallup has a brand new art gallery, starting this weekend. Gallery Three on the ground floor of the new City Hall building is a cooperative of local artists, and a division of the non-profit arts group Valley Arts United. The opening coincides with the Puyallup Art and Wine Walk.

From the press release: “Gallery Three is place where people can come to appreciate quality art and support local artisans by purchasing a variety of affordable pieces including pottery, jewelry, glass, sculpture and paintings. It’s also where you can experience, connect and learn about an array of creative arts that inspire the community around us.”

The annual Puyallup Art and Wine Walk takes in local art in the historic Puyallup downtown. Weather permitting, plein air painters will be working outside. The Walk also includes a pet food drive: Bring donations of cash or pet food to be given to the Puyallup Food Band and Food 4 Four Legged Friends.

Gallery Three opens 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Oct. 2 at 333 South Meridian Ave., Puyallup. Regular hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. www.gallerythree.org. The Puyallup Art and Wine Walk is from 3-7 p.m. Oct. Tickets are $20, and include eight wine tastes. Available at www.puyallupmainstreet.com and at the Mainstreet office at Meridian and Main until Friday.
