The Den at Urban Exchange is hosting a reading this Thursday of three new short plays by local playwrights.

From the press release: “Jeremy’s Bowtie” is a comedy that explores the limits we set on ourselves and what happens when our sub-conscience takes over. “The Negotiation” is a comedy dealing with the situation when hiring someone takes a strange turn. “On The Mountain” is a drama where things aren’t always as they seem.

There’ll be  a Q&A period after the performances with the writers and directors.

7 p.m. July 15. Urban Exchange, 1932 Pacific Ave., Tacoma. 253-572-2280, www.urbanxchangeonline.com
