If you play an instrument and are looking for somewhere to play it, try the Tacoma Community College summer orchestra. The TCC music department, headed up by trumpeter and conductor John Falskow, is offering the summer community orchestra program for the third year. Community and student musicians get together for two rehearsals and one free outdoor concert at TCC, and the program this year includes “Procession of the Sardar” by Ippolitov-Ivanov and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 2.

Rehearsals are 7-9p.m. July 28 and August 4 at the TCC Building 3 auditorium, and the concert is at 11 a.m. August 7 on the TCC campus quad (in front of buildings 11 and 27). If it rains, the concert will be in the building 3 auditorium.

Interested musicians should contact Dr. Falskow by July 1 at 253-460-4374, jfalskow@tacomacc.edu
