Ethnic Fest 2010, the weekend event devoted to Pierce County’s diverse cultures, is coming once again to Tacoma’s Wright Park July 24-25.

This year, Pierce County high school students are invited to participate in the Ethnic Fest Poster Contest.

Winning artwork will be used on posters, t-shirts, and promotional materials as well as in advertising and public service announcements for Ethnic Fest.

If that isn’t enough there’s cash: money will be awarded to the top three winners.

Ethnic Fest, started in 1986, draws about 60,000 people each year. Wright Park fills with families and individuals as they enjoy music and dance, entertainment, arts & crafts and lots of food.

The poster contest is open to all Pierce County high school students. Entry deadline is Friday, April 23, 2010. Winners will be announced at the end of April.

Visit www.EthnicFestTacoma.com for complete contest rules and entry materials.

Ethnic Fest is presented by Metro Parks Tacoma, Pierce County Council District Four, and the City of Tacoma.

For more information contact Ethnic Fest coordinator Lori Crace at loric@tacomaparks.com; 253-305-1076.
