It has been a crazy 24 hours at Mount Rainier, especially with park and concessionaire staff trying to get Paradise Inn ready for Friday’s opening.
Snow began falling about 1 p.m. Wednesday and has left six inches of new snow on the ground at Paradise. That has pushed the total on the ground back up to 146 inches, according to weather data from a station at Paradise.
